Quick Friday

Today I trained with 1 of my clients James Bell. Started off with 500m run just to warm up.
Stretching and mobility work

1k run for time

Power snatch 50kg x5,5,5

Snatch grip deads + pull 70kg x8,8,8

Hang power snatch 55kg x5, 50kg x5,5

I have been doing some reading on the snatch lately and realized my grip wasn't wide enough at all so today I went wider. It felt harder to pull from the floor but much easier to lock out over head. The bar obviously doesn't have to travel as far with the wider grip + the bar will move faster from the floor because of the angel compare to a narrower grip.

I would of liked to get a WOD in after but just didn't have time.

So far food for the day has been
Half lemon in warm water + juice plus
Omelet with veg & bacon
Banana, cashew nuts, humapro shake, 180 shake
Chicken, mixed salad, mixed veg.

I'm off to Perth today for the weekend so it's looking doubtful of any training but should be fun.
